2024 Student Recycling Ambassador Projects
Putting the A(rt) in STEAM
The 2024 SRA Cohort, saw 13 Detroit high school students representing Cass Tech, Renaissance, Western, Detroit International Academy for Young Women, MLK, and Lincoln-King. The program empowered these specially selected and highly interested Detroit high school students who are deeply passionate about their community and the environment to showcase their commitment through working within the realms of STEAM, equity, future-mindedness, and supporting fellow residents. The completion of this cohort means they will have excelled on their journey to become stronger advocates for their community and planet as well as prepare them for an even brighter future based on their passions.

This week-long project was designed to inspire others to recycle/upcycle through narrative art using only items they found at Detroit’s residential recycling dropoff center, Recycle Here!
